For years, Sunita depended entirely on her family's limited income. Although she wanted to work, she had never received formal vocational training and did not know where to begin.
As part of our women's livelihood programme, Sunita received practical skills training, business guidance, and support to start a small home-based enterprise. She was also introduced to basic financial planning and encouraged to save a portion of her earnings.
Starting small, Sunita began serving customers in her community. Over time, her customer base grew and so did her confidence.
Her income now contributes to household expenses, including her children's education. More importantly, she has gained greater control over financial decisions within her family.
