Strengthening Community Development Across Districts
o The Expansion of BMZ Project started in 3 GPs of Bargaon Block of Sundargarh District o The Expansion of BMZ Project started in 3 GPs of Bargaon Block of Sundargarh District o After several years, Samajik Seva Sadan (SSS), in partnership with the Linsi Foundation, resumed its work in Dhenkanal district by launching the Family Focused Village Development Programme (FFVDP) across 11 villages.
Building Organizational Capacity & Collaboration
o SSS collaborated with Government as FA (Facilitating Agency) in Bargaon Block for Odisha Millet Mission and Crop Diversification Program MLIP Project. o SSS started Organizational Development Process in facilitation of Dhwani Foundation through the Niranthara Classic Programme. o SSS Entered into Organizational Capacity development initiative through the DASRA Partnership in Rebuild India Programme.
Building Strong & Autonomous Women’s Institutions
o Andheri Hilfe extended support to expand area of operation to Sundargarh District for empowerment of local women through formation and strengthening of women cooperatives, which eventually become autonomous institutions in 2015.
Restoring Dignity Through Community Support
o Partnered with Andheri Hilfe, Germany, for rehabilitation of 64 leprosy affected families in Dhenkanal district that continued till 2008.
Grassroots Environmental Action & Impact
o Formation of the District Action Group (DAG) in Dhenkanal District and networked with 22 local NGOs to run a campaign against the industrial pollution o 800 villages mobilized in undivided Dhenkanal district with the support of NORAD. o As a result, NALCO Angul and TTPS Talcher stopped discharging the industrial waste in the Brahmani River and started disposing it in ash pond

o Registration under FCRA o Support extended by funding agencies and the government department to undertake projects in the Dhenkanal district o Running of 200 non-formal education centers in Sadar Block o Integrated development of 48 villages o Promotion of Ferrocement technology in Odisha o Selection of the organization as convener of district-level consultative committee (DLCC) for 6 terms o Recipient of the best NGO award (in 1988) from Govt of Odisha o Recipient of the best Motivator award from the Ministry of Health, Govt of Odisha (in 1989)

o Registration of Samajik Seva Sadan as a society under 1860 Society's act.
