Samajik Seva Sadan (SSS) empowers women and girls to become confident leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of sustainable change. Through leadership development, climate action, livelihood promotion, and collective enterprise, we strengthen their knowledge, skills, and decision-making abilities while creating opportunities for economic independence and community participation.
Our initiatives support women-led Farmer Producer Companies, promote sustainable livelihoods and value addition, and equip women and adolescent girls with the capacity to address climate challenges, and participate in local governance. By fostering gender equality, financial inclusion, and community leadership, SSS is building resilient women, stronger families, and sustainable rural communities. At Samajik Seva Sadan (SSS), we believe that women are at the forefront of building resilient communities. Our Women’s Leadership & Climate Action programme equips women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to address climate challenges while strengthening their social and economic well-being.
Through practical, hands-on training, women learn organic manure preparation, climate-resilient agricultural practices, sustainable natural resource management, and environmentally friendly farming techniques that enhance food security and protect local ecosystems. These initiatives enable women to adopt sustainable livelihoods while contributing to climate adaptation at the household and community levels.
Alongside climate action, the programme promotes gender equality, women’s rights, and leadership through awareness sessions on the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, gender sensitisation workshops, and International Women’s Day celebrations. By creating safe spaces for learning, dialogue, and collective action, SSS empowers women to become informed decision-makers, confident leaders, and active participants in community development and local governance.
Through this integrated approach, women are not only improving the resilience of their families and communities to climate change but are also driving inclusive, sustainable development for future generations.
